The Iowa Association of School Boards Foundation invests in Iowa’s future by supporting Iowa students through high school scholarships and student teacher grants. These awards recognize academic achievement, leadership, and a deep-rooted commitment to public education.

2026 Scholarship Recipients

The High School Senior Scholarship recognizes students whose parent or grandparent has served Iowa public education as an elected school board member and who have chosen to pursue higher education in Iowa. Board Member representatives (parent/guardian/grandparent) in italics.

2026 Student Teacher Grant Recipients

The Student Teacher Grant supports aspiring educators preparing for their student teaching experience and future careers in Iowa classrooms.

How can I apply?

• Scholarships – Available to Iowa high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of current or past Iowa school board, AEA, or community college board members with at least three years of board service. Applicants must graduate by July and plan to attend an Iowa institution of higher education or trade/technical school.
  
• Student Teacher Grants – Available to Iowa student teachers. Funds may be used for licensure or professional learning.
