Delegate Assembly Resources & Materials Now Available

Every school board's voice should be heard at the IASB Delegate Assembly! IASB bylaws give each member board a delegate who casts the board's votes on issues before the Delegate Assembly. School board members provide input on IASB’s legislative platform and your priorities help influence legislators and the governor. By participating in this debate process, school, AEA and community college boards contribute to IASB’s legislative program and ultimately the unified legislative interests of all Iowa school boards.

The deadline to register delegates for Delegate Assembly is Oct. 27, 2020. Among other valuable resources, a detailed Director District Elections and Delevate Assembly timeline is available on the resources and information webpage!

Register For the First Webinar in IASB's New SBO Webinar Series

The relationship between the board and the school business official (SBO) is key to improved budget planning and a stress-free environment so the board can focus on what matters most, student learning, and school business officials can focus on financial management. We're inviting all school business officials (especally SBOs new to the job) to join IASB for this free webinar (being held Oct. 28) where we’ll discuss how to build and maintain a strong relationship with the board. This informal discussion will include time for SBOs to ask questions. The webinar will be recorded and provided to all registrants after the event. Webinar participants earn five Better Boardsmanship credits.
