Recent changes to Iowa law have given school districts and Area Education Agencies (AEAs) the ability to modify their compensation models to meet the needs of their organizations. As districts and AEAs begin to explore alternative compensation, appropriate attention must be given to the values of the board as well as the behaviors being incentivized by the compensation model. Join special guest presenter Bob Butler, Associate Executive Director and Staff Counsel, Wisconsin Association of School Boards and IASB HR Services Director, Eric Howard, as they discuss key considerations when considering alternative compensation, options available and discuss how similar compensation changes have impacted schools in Wisconsin.
